Public bug reported: Refers to Brasero 2.30.2-0ubuntu1.1 and Wodim 9:1.1.10-1ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 10.04 amd64.
I couldn't write ISO images correctly to HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GU40N, firmware QX21 from Lenovo, on a ThinkPad T410. Writing ISO images to two different kinds of CD-RWs with Brasero worked without error message. Nevertheless, e.g., booting such a CD-RW failed. Creating checksum: $ md5sum /dev/cdrom md5sum: /dev/cdrom: Input/output error Adding Brandon Snyder's CDRTools PPA (https://launchpad.net/~brandonsnider/+archive/cdrtools?field.series_filter=lucid) for Wodim patched this problem. ** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/853131 Title: burning faulty media on HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GU40N To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/853131/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
