I've juste received a Dell Workstation Precision 390 with a SAS 
controller (LSI SAS1068), and I've installed feisty i386 and edgy 
AMD64 on two partitions. With both version, I have serious problem with HDD use.
When I write or read a lot of data, the controller seems to freeze, and 
most of the applications freeze. The foolowing messages are given in 
/var/log/messages :
