This is probably already reported, but It's kinda hard to explain.
I'm using Oneric... Unity 4.16.0-0ubuntu1 and Compiz
1:0.9.5.94+bzr2803-0ubuntu5.
Uh, if you set anything to LeftEdge+buttonX (Any button), and Unity's
RevealMode to anything but "LeftEdge", any clicks you make will be
processed by the Unity bar thing.
For example, I have LeftEdge+Button1 to switch workspaces and Unity set
to appear if I move the mouse to the upper left, but if I click the left
edge, whatever launcher in that location in the bar will start up (or be
switched to) as well.

Title:
Setting anything to "<LeftEdge>ButtonX" in compiz causes Unity to
handle those clicks, even when it is hidden.
