As I said, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of the router and ask them for support/why the issue is occurring - Ubuntu uses protocols for networking which are industry standards and are widely implemented.
I highly doubt Ubuntu is going to stop strictly following standards any time soon as it will break compatibility for a much larger number of users of routers which are standards-compliant. If your computer was crashing when you were connected to the network, then Ubuntu would likely be the cause of the problem; but as it is your router that is doing so (which is obviously running separate hardware and software), there are unlikely to be any changes that will occur in Ubuntu to fix the issue. If you wish you can try the development release of Ubuntu, but it should still be possible to replicate: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/854938 Title: Router WBR-1310 Crashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/854938/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
