I´m getting the exact same thing. Also tried to do the update but to no avail (should have read this first!).
I have attached a crash report. * Ubuntu Edgy v. 6.10 * Gnome v. 2.16.1 * Build 10/2/2006 UPDATE DETAILS: ---- Tracks usage of TCP/IP and builds html files with graphs. >From version 2.0.1 to 2.0.1+cvs20050208-9 (Size: 61 KB) ---- I try to install the update and get this message: ---- E: /var/cache/apt/archives/bandwidthd_2.0.1+cvs20050208-9_i386.deb: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 2 ---- Then, the ¨Changes Applied¨ message says: ---- Preconfiguring packages ... cp: cannot stat `/usr/share/doc/bandwidthd/bandwidthd.conf´ : No such file or directory bandwidthd failed to preconfigure with exit status 1 ---- There is a lot more, but this should help for now. Let me know if you need the full message. There is no copy and paste but will happily send a screenshot. ** Attachment added: "Crash report" http://librarian.launchpad.net/7582039/_usr_sbin_bandwidthd.1000.crash -- bandwithd crashes on starting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111165 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
