Please delete this bug This was some compatibility issue between packages from ubuntusoftware.info and other packages on my system, so this has nothing to do with the official ubuntu software. Once I replaced those from the ubuntusoftware.info repo with ones from ubuntu-multiverse or medibuntu repos, everything works smooth.
