@Jay: what is Oneiric? I won't be able to test this for a few weeks, at the soonest. (I'm also not running unity anymore because the multi-head support doesn't work for me; both because of bugs like this and because the fundamental idea of stretching the desktop across two screens doesn't fit my workflows - I much prefer the way XMonad handles multi-head.)
