Public bug reported:

The proprietary Broadcom STA driver used in Natty properly activated the
wireless status light on an Acer Aspire 7552G-6436 using a BCM43225. No
special settings were required to enable the light, and it worked
properly by switching off when the hardware was switched off (using
Fn-F3) and switching back on when the hardware was switched on (using
Fn-F3 a second time). In Oneiric, the light is no longer available in
any state.
