Seems to be a problem of memory management in Ghostscript. Memory
handling is improved in the newest Ghostscript. So try to switch to GPL
Ghostscript using the commands

sudo apt-get install gs-gpl
sudo update-alternatives --config gs

and select gs-gpl in the menu which appears. The Ghostscript looks like
from a print operation. Perhaps a job was stuck in the queue. So try to
print something after switching to GPL Ghostscript.
