Public bug reported: This report is for Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 2 installed cleanly on a Dell Latitude D620 with Intel integrated 950 graphics. After the screen blanks after inactivity, pressing the Fn-Brightness up key makes the brightness go up, but in a "staggered" way instead of one step at a time. If starting from a blank screen of zero brightness, then here is how it goes:
First press: level 3 Second press: level 1 Third press: level 4 Fourth press: level 2 Fifth press: level 5 Sixth press: level 3 And so on until it reaches maximum brightness. I am inclined to think it is more of a Gnome 3 issue as opposed to Ubuntu specific becuase the brightness keys work fine in 11.04. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/863034 Title: Strange Brightness Key Behavior To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/863034/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
