Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus-sendto
When I run Feisty with Finnish locale and try using nautilus-sendto for sending a file or folder I am offered only one choice for archive format. This choice is quite oddly ´.zip .tar.gz .tar.bz2´. This option will allways use .zip. If I try typing ´example.tar.gz' in the name field it creates and sends a zipped tar ball named example.tar.gz.zip. When I use an English locale this problem does not occur. I was able to fix the bug by editing line 356 of /usr/share/nautilus-sendto/glade /nautilus-sendto.glade. I simply changed the value of the property translatable from yes to no. I see absolutely no problem in doing this because one cannot translate file postfixes, can one. ** Affects: nautilus-sendto (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: Binary package hint: nautilus-sendto When I run Feisty with Finnish locale and try using nautilus-sendto for - sending a file or folder I am offered only one choise for archive + sending a file or folder I am offered only one choice for archive format.
