Public bug reported:
New (clean) installation of Xubuntu 11.04.
Updates icon appears in taskbar.
Click icon, update manager appears.
Click "install updates"
Button appears depressed for a couple of seconds.
Nothing else happens.
The same occurs when taking the "update manager" option from the menu.
running update-manager as root installs packages correctly. Could it be
that the launchers ought to be applying root privileges?
