I see the same thing. After this happens I log into e17 and when I start another program (I've so far tried firefox and thunderbird) the whole machine locks up solid, I have to do a hard reset. Because of this I haven't been able to get the lightdm.log file yet. Will try to switch over to a console to get the file next time.
