Public bug reported: When performing an upgrade with 'do-release-upgrade', some settings in '/etc/apt.conf' and '/etc/apt.conf.d/' are not honored. At the end of the upgrade process, 'do-release-upgrade' offers to autoremove automatically installed packages, that are no longer needed. However, although I have 'APT::Get::Purge "true";' set in 'apt.conf', 'do- release-upgrade' doesn't purge the packages, but only removes them.
This happens on the upgrade from Maverick to Natty and also all previous upgrades. ** Affects: update-manager-core (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/870648 Title: do-release-upgrade doesn't honor apt settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager-core/+bug/870648/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
