Still no progress?
Upgraded to 11.10 development with kernel 3.0.0-12 and I get a _lot_ of errors 
logged at boot:

READ CAPACITY failed
Result: hostbyte=DID_BAD_TARGET driverbyte=DRIVER_OK
Sense not available
Truncating mode parameter data from 28273 to 512 bytes
Got wrong page
Assuming drive cache: write through

Mostly no disks are found, but some times after a reboot one or more disks are 
found.
Reverted back to 2.6.38-8 and all disks a found and my arrays are up and 
running again. 
Should I report this as a new bug for 11.10?
