Hello,

Unfortunatly, I am a beginner in the linux field...
The only thing I can tell you if REALLY you can't boot anymore on your HD is
the following:

In order to get your data from it:

Add this HD in another computer wich is booting without problem
(or boot with a CD/DVD/USB on this computer)
>From this running system, you should be able to mount your "broken" HD to
get your data manually (you can backup all you home folder to have all your
preferences)

But, before, check on the internet as I think, you should boot again on
it... I feel it is not broken, it is just something that needs to be changed
in the grub configuration

Sorry to not be able to help you more,

Baudouin
