Requested information added. I noticed that, but my bandwidth was tied up last night with other upgrades, and I wasn't able to update the bug anymore.
I just sudo deleted the contents of the /var/log/dist-update directory and retried the command: sudo do-release-upgrade -d === Command detached from window (Sat Oct 15 15:30:42 2011) === === Command terminated with signal 11 (Sat Oct 15 15:30:42 2011) === === Command detached from window (Sat Oct 15 15:30:58 2011) === === Command terminated with signal 11 (Sat Oct 15 15:30:58 2011) === === Command detached from window (Sat Oct 15 15:30:59 2011) === === Command terminated with signal 11 (Sat Oct 15 15:30:59 2011) === === Command detached from window (Sat Oct 15 15:31:00 2011) === === Command terminated with signal 11 (Sat Oct 15 15:31:00 2011) === I get the prompt "press x to destroy or r to resurrect window" when I type anything. 'r' just repeats the last two lines.
