Public bug reported: Installed from amd64 DVD image created /boot, swap, and / partition on ICH9 Raid 0, and /home on ICH9 Raid 5. Grub fails to install. I haven't rebooted yet so I can submit the logs from the installer. I was able to create all of the partitions fine in the installer, but Grub fails to install at the end of the installer. I had this same configuration working in Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10, and I had upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04 to 11.10 and it was still working fine. After the upgrade to 11.10 I was having other issues and decided to opt for a clean install, as I need to dual boot to run Windows for school stuff that runs horrible in VM.
