I upgraded my system from natty yesterday in hope it would fix a hang
during boot:

done.
Begin: Running /scripts/init-bottom ... done.
init: ureadahead main process (299) terminated with status 5
instead of I now get a couple of steps further and then the system
kernel panics with this exact message. Every time.
