Fresh install of 11.10 to an HP Pavilion P7-1110 failed to boot.  It
turns out that although the firmware supports UEFI, it was not in effect
and grub-efi didn't work correctly and had to be replaced with grub-pc.

My initial install attempt with 11.04 behaved the same, so I think it
did the same thing.

I am willing to provide whatever captures of information from the system
that would help.  I did not include the installer output since I was
well beyond install.
