lpstat -v | grep cups-pdf: There should be at least one, most probably named "PDF". Now uninstall cups-pdf with the command sudo dpkg -P cups-pdf and run lpstat -v | grep cups-pdf: again. Now there should be no cups-pdf queue at all. Is this the case?
