Public bug reported: Hotkey fn+f2 i supposed to toggle wifi on/off. That's the way it was working on ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04.
I have updated from 11.04 to 11.10. When wifi is toggled on at startup, i can connect to wireless network. If i toggled it off and then on again, network manager says "device not ready". And i can't connect to wireless network anymore. Same situation if i start the computer with wifi disable. To make it working again, i have to do sudo rmmod ath9k / sudo modprobe ath9k while wifi is toggled on. I have also formatted my computer and done a claen install of ubuntu 11.10 but i have still the same issue. I don't know which package is affected... ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879287 Title: wifi otkeys doe snot work as expected on eeepc 1005 in Ubuntu 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/879287/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
