Public bug reported:

When I change desktops the indicators frequently crash, causing the
panel to redraw in a crazy way. It doesn't *always* happen, but does
happen quite frequently. The crash is very visually disruptive.

Included is a full gdb backtrace, with most of the symbols installed.
