i have attached a simple powerpoint 2003 example (typical use for presentation in science) and the resulting screenshot from the powwerpint view and the openoffice view. I hope that now its clear what i am intending to say. This is only a small problem, but if you have to convert a lot of files with may slides this is a big problem. if you are working in groups using powerpoint the problem is even bigger. in any case, thanks a lot for answering and trying to solve the problem joachim
