If you think everyone commenting on this bug is a 'power user' or programmer etc., you are very much mistaken. I can't 'help myself' by writing a patch or anything like this. I can just about switch to another distro, as long as the installer doesn't ask me too many difficult questions. I am a normal user who got a launchpad account specifically to register my feelings about this matter. Looking back, I can see this was pointless.
