I have complained to the BBC, but as yet I have not received case
numbers from them; here are threads where this issue is discussed.

There are others.  WOuld it also be possible for Canonical to approach
the BBC and liaise with them - as it appears that iPlayer is now
completely broken for Linux+Nvidia users.
