External display doesn't work with Lubuntu LiveCD 11.10
Dell D610 laptop
lshw: Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller
I do get the intial choice screen for Language & Try/Install, I get the
'Lubutu .....' loading screen, then a brief bit of CLI, but not the
final desktop.
Fn-F8 to switch between laptop screen and external display has no
effect. That does work on the initial screens before desktop. That also
works on Ubuntu LiveCD 11.10.
I'm afraid this is as far as I can go with it. The backlight doesn't
work on this laptop, so I'm jammed till the next Lubuntu.
With the backlight out you can see a faint ghost of display on the
laptop, so I can confirm the desktop does load. The only problem is
external display does not work.
