Not since I upgraded, that's for sure, as I would not have been able to find it with this new environment and I did not know the ccsm command: I just tried it and discovered it was Compiz. Plus, I would not expect Compiz to work any more: isn't it gnome-bound? And before that, the only thing I had done, per my memory, was turning off all visual effects through gnome-appearance-properties, not Compiz: that's a small netbook. Now, I'll be happy to run commands to reinitialize or drop compiz, if you can advise about such commands, then retest.
