Public bug reported: My ThinkPad X60 has the following power configuration:
On battery power When plugged in Suspend when inactive for: Don't suspend Don't suspend When the lid is closed: Suspend Do nothing When power is critically low: Hibernate What I try: 1) Plug in the power cord. 2) Close the lid. 3) Unplug the power cord. What I expect to happen: The laptop should suspend. What actually happens: The laptop remains un-suspended, causing it to overheat in its carrying case and permanently damage its lithium-ion battery. This problem started occurring after I upgraded from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10.
