** Description changed: + **WORKAROUND at #2 ** + I am trying to dim the screen of my Vostro 3400 laptop equipped with a nVidia GeForce 310M video card using Ubuntu Natty 11.04 nvidia-current drivers and it does not work. This feature was OK using Ubuntu 10.10 and the same driver package. The system shows the dim bar when I press the key combination to do so, but the screen bright does not change. The nvidia kernel driver module is already loaded and seems to be working along with the X.org distribution shipped on Natty.
