Installed 11.10 from scratch and updated with the 171 patches. Using LG CD/DVD writer. System does not recognize blank CD, but does come up with window to select program for blank DVD. Took and downloaded 11.10 ISO. Insert blank DVD. Prompt and select Brasero. Writes and fixes, but DVD drive activity is on solid during the check phase. Select cancel and system quits and shows that disc was successful.
