Public bug reported: On numerous occasions I have search for an application in Dash and exited when no results appeared...only to later see the application in Dash. Over time I figured out the Dash searches can be slow, especially the initial ones. This is very confusing given that search capabilities in applications and in web browser apps always show either a progress or a "busy" indicator of some kind.
Without a progress or busy indicator in dash, one has to sit and look at an empty result for 30+ seconds before assuming that nothing was found. This defeats the entire purpose of dash. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/888088 Title: Dash shows no progress indicator during search To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/888088/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
