Hi,

for me the solution for this problem was easy: I had this with 10.04 and
10.10 before and it turned out to be the settings for the cursor keys
from the num keypad as mouse cursor control. Check yourself with ctrl +
4,8,6,2. If that moves your mouse around follow the instructions from
here: http://cyberfunda.com/2011/numeric-keypad-not-responding-in-libre-
office/

In 10.04 and 10.10 it was the setting under keyboard preferences. With
11.10 it is on a different location.
