i don't have HDMI cable or anything, i see and HDMI port on my laptop, but never plugged anything to it, so what i'm doing is playing music without anything other than the power cable connected to the computer, unless the internal speakers are connected to the sound card via HDMI internally i really doubt i'm using HDMI at all
