Unstable version of libcairo2 comes from ppa xorg edgers
Fixed the immediate issue by changing the GTK+ Appearance in System Settings to
Raleigh and then back to oxygen-gtk

Works fine.

Downgrading libcairo2 has apt-get wanting to upgrade. Getting that back
to stable state would involve deactivating xorg-edgers repository...and
there are some intel driver goodies in there that are needed for best
performance on this machine.

Thank you
Carl
