Public bug reported: I have an Packard Bell TR-85 laptop and it has several buttons obove the keyboard, do control touchpad, wlan, sound, ...
If I toggle the button responsible for touchpad activation, i can disable it, but i can't re-enable it. If I want to use it again, i have to reboot the computer. There is no option in BIOS to control these buttons. If I touch the button the first time, syslog reports "Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xf2 on isa0060/serio0), if I touch it the second time, the code is 0xf1. uname -a Linux moi-TR85 3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7 14:56:25 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Ubuntu 10.11 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/890237 Title: if touchpad disabled by hardware button, it cannot be enabled again To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/890237/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
