It might be specific to the keyboard I use. I have an USB keyboard from Logitech, lsusb says: Bus 002 Device 003: ID 046d:c30e Logitech, Inc. UltraX Keyboard (Y-BL49)
My keyboard has six extra keys, one of them with a "home" icon on it, which I want to assign to launch home folder. This key is described as follows by xev: KeyPress event, serial 34, synthetic NO, window 0x4c00001, root 0x1ad, subw 0x0, time 4362256, (141,103), root:(142,156), state 0x0, keycode 180 (keysym 0x1008ff18, XF86HomePage), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes: XFilterEvent returns: False I open System Settings, go to Keyboard, Shortcuts, Launchers. There I select "Home folder" and press this key, the key is named "HomePage". Then when I press this key, the home folder icon in the Unity launcher flashes for a few seconds and this is written to ~/.xsession-errors: Could not parse arguments: Unknown option --browser -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/888757 Title: Home folder refuse to open with keyboard shortcut To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/888757/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
