Same problem here on Ubuntu 11.10 as outlined. The following workarounds did NOT work for me:
* padsp kino * pasuspender -- kino * entering "default" as audio device * entering any other existing audio device which is in /dev/snd/ I had the same problem in Ubuntu 10.10 on a completely different computer. Apparently this bug exists since 2008. I'm asking myself why this program is even in Ubuntu? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/436248 Title: Maverick: Kino plays too fast, sound is not passed through pulseaudio To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kino/+bug/436248/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
