Please note, I have tried disabling desktop effects. This seems to help. Kwin CPU usage drops, however, plasma-desktop now takes about 10-15% CPU constantly. Line from 'top': 1921 tdn 20 0 1161m 162m 69m S 10 4.2 19:18.89 /usr/bin/plasma-desktop
