I have the same problem:

run-parts: executing /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms 3.0.0-13-generic
/boot/vmlinuz-3.0.0-13-generic

And there it just hangs.

I do not have any invalid mounts, but I do have two directories mounted via
NFS: /mnt/public (music and videos) and /home
I am trying to run "mount" and after three minutes this is all the commando has
given in output:

sitron@zero:~$ mount
/dev/sda2 on / type ext4 (rw,errors=remount-ro,commit=0)

I am still waiting! And since I mount /home via NFS, this system is
painfully slow, response-times are huge!
