OK, this time it did something, but nothing I could really see. The screen 
flashed but I didn't notice any real change.

So then I switched to Hebrew and it came up the same way as in the
screen shot. I went to Dash Home and tried Firefox. Firefox did come up,
but that was the only thing I could get to come up. Libre Office refused
to come up as well as a few other things I tried. In short, to my
unscrutinizing eye, there was no change. Maybe if I knew to look for
something specific, I might find a difference, but there was no obvious
difference - to my eye at least.

I will be happy to try to do anything else you want to try, but at the
moment it is 11PM and time to turn off the computer.

Tomorrow I will look again,
