Public bug reported: I use lxubuntu on a Lenovo S10 netbook. Because of the small screen, it is important to save vertical screenestate. Thus, it is natural to put panels on the side screen edges instead of top or bottom.
However, lxpanel does not handle this well. The systray shows a lot of empty space as seen in the left side of this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/AGa2c.png ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: lxpanel 0.5.8-1ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-13.22-generic 3.0.6 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-13-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 Config_Home_Lubuntu: [Command] FileManager=pcmanfm %s Terminal=lxterminal -e Logout=lubuntu-logout Date: Tue Nov 22 23:22:06 2011 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release i386 (20110427.1) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_DK:en PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_DK.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/zsh SourcePackage: lxpanel UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-11-04 (17 days ago) ** Affects: lxpanel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 oneiric -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/893803 Title: systray in lxpanel does not correctly handle vertical panels To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxpanel/+bug/893803/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
