I think the "Keep on top" step is unnecessary for this to happen. My daily workflow involves:
- irssi in a terminal window on a second monitor, snapped to the left. - ssh into a virtual machine on my main laptop screen, maximised - Firefox on my main laptop screen, maximised I frequently alt-tab between the SSH session and Firefox and back and start typing code or build commands into irssi.
