Here is my Xorg.0.log I am able to run nvidia drivers when using the
discrete graphics settings on bios.  Nvidia settings is able to detect
the monitor, however no image is displayed.  The monitor also seems to
think that the cable is not connected.

I am using nvidia-current package.  Also it seems brightness can't be
controlled using the binary nvidia drivers.
