Thanks. Unfortunately this doesn't help: do-release-upgrade doesn't show any GUI, it lives in the console.
I think without feedback of a developer working on update manager we can't move forward. I could dig through the code, but my TODO list is more than full already. :-( Maybe we can just close it. It's not particularly important, and it's not clear how to test it now. Maybe installing 11.04 in a virtual machine, selectively getting in latest update manager and then have the window appear would be a way to test it. But that's quite complex. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/880090 Title: "Ubuntu distro Upgrade Available" dialog ignores HTTP proxy settings when fetching release info To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/880090/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
