Public bug reported: While using the Gnome Shell environment in Ubuntu 11.10, Gnome Shell will randomly restart (similar to the 'Alt+F2, then typing r behaviour). I have noted other bugs that say that this occurs , but eventually the desktop does not reload, I have not seen this behaviour occur as Gnome Shell has always reloaded.
