My operating system frequently hangs.  This happens once or twice a day.
It often happens when I have nothing running other than "top" (to try to
see what might be causing it to hang).

* memtest reports no errors
* the machine is not hot
* When I rebooted, there was nothing in the syslog for an hour preceding the 
hang.
* I'm running 11.04 on a Compaq Presario desktop
* It also hangs when no one is logged in, so .xsession-errors in my home 
directory probably won't mean anything, but here it is on my most recent hand 
when I was logged in:
