Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 11.10, with gstreamer-plugins-bad version 0.10.22-2ubuntu4.
My goal is to be able to simply output video from GStreamer to a decklink card by Black Magic Devices. I thought the following would Just Work®: gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///home/joaopizani/test.mp4 video-sink=decklinksink Instead, gst-launch reported the following error: "ERROR: from element /GstPlayBin:playbin0: Internal GStreamer error: pad problem. Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer. Additional debug info: gstplaybin.c(928): gen_video_element (): /GstPlayBin:playbin0: Failed to configure the video sink."... All the drivers and APIs from Black Magic Design are installed and my system is configured correctly. As a proof, the following works just fine: gst-launch-0.10 videotestsrc ! decklinksink Any ideas what might be going wrong? Just another question, a "point of order": I am not sure wheter this is a bug related to Ubuntu packaging or upstream. Therefore, should I also file the bug with the gstreamer guys or will it be done automatically by Launchpad? ** Affects: gst-plugins-bad0.10 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: decklink gstreamer -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/900449 Title: decklinksink plugin does not work with filesrc, only with videotestsrc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gst-plugins-bad0.10/+bug/900449/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
