** Description changed:

Experiencing the bug on a DELL E6500 laptop with kubuntu oneiric 64bit.

After a sleep (to ram) -> resume cycle about 50% of the time the touchpad
does not behave in the right way.
It works, but I get no acceleration (moving the mouse cursor through the
screen requires passing the hand from side to side on the touchpad a few
times), no smart scrolling (moving the finger up and down on the touchpad sides
should scroll up and down), no smart tapping. In other words, all the 'smart'
touchpad features are gone.

  doing

modprobe -r psmouse ; modprobe psmouse

as root restores the correct mouse behavior.

- So I suspect that the psmouse module may have some issues with
- suspend/resume. Maybe it is related to some timing, since the problem
- only happens every odd time.
