in Ubuntu 11.10 its not like that. if you have multiple windows associated to one and you minimize all the windows, clicking one time on the launcher will raise the last minimized app, click again would show all the windows in "spread" and you can click the window you want. Although clicking the desired window from spread brings it to front but all the other minimized apps are now also unmimized behind, thats another bug.
